Design Story

The reason it works is hierarchy. The gem-textured D shield sits dead center as the visual anchor, framed in bright metallic-looking trim so your eye lands there first. Everything else orbits it: horned mascot faces up top, a raised trident, a helmet and football at the base, all rendered in deep navy on navy so the chaos stays controlled instead of muddy. Then the typography does the traffic control. DUKE at the crown, TRUE BLUE LEGACY as a banner across the midline, BLUE DEVILS anchoring the bottom. Three readable beats on a curved surface is harder than it looks.
