Design Story

The composition reads top to bottom in clear tiers. A ribbon banner carries the words Charlotte FC, followed by a circular medallion ringed with beaded detail and the lettering Charlotte Football Club, minted 2022. Inside it sits a blue disc with a white crown, the calmest shape in an otherwise densely worked field. Beneath, a small cartouche marks 2019, then a second ribbon reading We are Charlotte FC, and finally a low band of relief buildings with a football set at the base. Scrollwork, stars and blue accents fill the surrounding space, but the crown holds the centre because it is simple. That contrast between ornament and clean silhouette is what gives the piece its quiet authority.

Use & Experience

On a tumbler the design becomes architectural. The tall vertical proportion suits a stacked hierarchy, and the front-facing focal panel keeps the medallion at eye level while the handle sits clear of the artwork. Wrapped around a portable form, the composition stays legible at arm's length and gives the object real carry presence.
