Design Story

The composition is strictly symmetrical. A banner reading CHICAGO CUBS sits at the top, and beneath it the circular emblem carries the familiar red C wrapped around UBS, ringed by pale stones and framed by laurel branches and small blue and red gem shapes. Below the medallion, an engraved Chicago skyline runs like a horizon line across the lower third, grounding the ornament in a place. A base panel closes the sequence: WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS, the years 1907, 1908 and 2016, and a small 1876 medallion. Fine vertical pinstripes fill the background, keeping the dark surface quiet so the gold reads as light rather than decoration. The hierarchy is vertical and unhurried \Uffffffff name, emblem, city, record.

Use & Experience

On a tumbler, that vertical logic suits the silhouette exactly. The crest occupies the front-facing focal panel at eye level, the skyline band wraps the lower body, and the dark ground gives the gold detail room to breathe as the piece turns in the hand.
